Sam and Emma (aka The Sound and The Writer) have been collaborating in this band for 3 years\, with an EP and some singles already out\, though it really all started for them as little jam sessions on Friday nights. What began as a hobby turned into a passion project that has helped turn them into better people\, musicians\, and partners. I suppose you could say it’s made them “Better Than Before” (see what I did there?). Earlier this year\, their self-titled debut album was nominated for a Juno award.  \nBarry Mason Jr. is a Calgary-based guitarist and songwriter who blends indie-rock with jazz\, neo-soul\, funk\, and folk influences. Known for his warm tones and emotive live shows\, Barry’s music explores love\, loss\, and the complexity of relationships\, often with a balance of energetic theatrics\, vulnerability\, and musical risk-taking.\n \nJared Doherty is a musician based out of the desert city of “Kamloops” BC Canada. Jared writes impressionistic\, and sometimes character-driven songs exploring themes of nature\, isolation\, modern life and relationships\, and mental health.
