Get ready to groove to their amazing tunes and enjoy a fantastic live music experience. \nFlowshine has spent the last decade carving their own path a little left of centre. Their love of adventure\, experience\, and bringing people together with music has taken them from their home in Calgary to oft overlooked corners of the country. Their openness to experimentation and desire to make something wondrous has left their peers unsure of how to characterize their brand of hooky indie/alternative. Their songs demonstrate strong musicianship\, relatable storytelling\, and often feature musical guests lending their signature to the Flowshine whole. Guitarist and vocalist Jeremiah Erhardt has said\, “We want our music to be fun and emotive; we want people to jump in our canoe and let us guide them down the river\, showing them things they’ve never experienced.” \nThey have been cutting their teeth\, sharing stages with bands like Five Alarm Funk\, The Wooden Sky\, and Chilliwack. They have spent thousands of hours in a van and have performed in an eclectic and extensive list of pubs\, clubs\, campfires\, farm fields\, cafes\, basements\, community centres\, festival stages\, street corners\, and the like; from Dawson City\, Yukon to the heart of Halifax\, NS. \nThe Houses (Where We Grew Up) are timeless like lawn darts\, hopeless like -insert local sports club here- and heavenly like the roof of the Sistine Chapel\, riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo like a rhinestone cowboy. \nWith interests ranging from the 2013 science fiction film Cowboys vs Aliens to Vanilla Ice (cream)\, their sound is described by some as definitely audible. Professional musician\, Quinton will play relaxing and psychedelic guitar riffs with a variety of pedals. \nThe pure tones offered in a sound bath facilitate DEEP REST & RESET for the nervous system. \nEach singing bowl (note) corresponds with a different chakra/energy center in the body\, bringing alignment to the physical and energetic body. The vibration frequencies of crystal singing bowls have the ability to move through skin\, fluid and bones of the body\, creating a full body relaxation and re-calibration down to the level of cellular structure. In addition\, your brainwave frequency and state of consciousness can be re-wired\, and regulated causing a positive and stable state of mind\, by the vibrations that are created during sound healing. \nPlease bring a yoga mat and any other props you’d like to get cozy (blanket\, pillow\, bolster\, crystals). Not just bedroom talk\, this show will be 100% cover tunes!\n\nOur lineup of local talent includes\, Ivy Nyx\, Macabre Dance\, Mona Moore\, Coco-A-Gogo\, Wilder DeFleurs\, Rosie Bubbles\, The Conjuring\, Clea Max\, Babe Maverick\, Humphrey Cockburn\, and Ms Coco Creme!\n\nDress up and join our best dressed contest to win a sexy prize from our sponsors at The Scarlet Apple\, Exposed Wax Arts\, and Studio Micah!\n\nAs we celebrate Under the Covers\, we’re also very aware of the folks in our community who don’t have covers to get under.
