DESCRIPTION:In celebration of International Women’s Day\, join the TNBCASW in support for KIS WE program at The Vagina Monologues! \nTICKETS:  https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/the-vagina-monologues-tickets-1222876369139 \n18+ \nDoors open at 6:45\, preshow starts at 7\, and curtain at 7:30. First come\, first served seating with tables of 4-6 people. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available at the bar. You may wish to bring cash to purchase 50/50 tickets. There will also be a silent auction! \nThe Thompson-Nicola British Columbia Association of Social Workers promotes the profession of social work locally and across the province. We advance social work practice and values to create a just and compassionate society. https://www.bcasw.org \nIn honour of this value\, we present The Vagina Monologues as an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for an important program within our community. The WE (Women’s Empowerment) Program at Kamloops Immigrant Services offers one-to-one appointments and free programs that support immigrant or refugee women\, girls\, or gender-diverse persons in the Kamloops region with counselling\, goal-planning\, connecting to legal services\, and much more. https://immigrantservices.ca/women-empowerment \nWe have chosen to present this show in conjunction with International Women’s Day 2025 to celebrate women and to advocate for equity and inclusivity. #AccelerateAction https://www.internationalwomensday.com \nThe Vagina Monologues\, written by Eve Ensler\, is a show composed of brief yet impactful monologues that capture diverse women’s stories when they were interviewed about their vaginas.
