Comedy Night Featuring: Julie Kim

Julie Kim is stand-up comedian and writer. Julie recently toured across North America with Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Crazy Rich Asians). She has been featured on national television and radio multiple times (the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs Northwest, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and much more). She is a gala performer at Just for Laughs in Montreal this year.

Julie’s been a writer and on-camera talent for CBC’s The Debaters, Laugh out Loud, CBC’s Kim’s Convenience (occasionally as a guest in the writer’s room), and more. Julie was also a writer for Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Kim’s Convenience) as he hosted The Juno Awards in 2022. Julie’s mission is to spread happiness, lighten hearts, and unite through laughter.

The Effie Arts Collective is fast becoming recognized as one of the best comedy rooms in Western Canada with a great vibe and great talent. The Effie is proud to serve Phillips Brewing alcohol and de-alcoholised beverages as well as a selection of wines and spirits with various snacks.
