Join Lindy in The Loops Swing Dance for a speakeasy-inspired evening of live music, smooth jazz and blues dancing. The night begins with a short slow drag lesson, followed by relaxed social dancing to live music in a laid-back, intimate setting. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase. 19+ event.

The Band
Founded in 2025 by blues fans Darrin Cherewayko and Jeremy Kneeshaw, Velvet Groove from its inception is about traditional, vintage, retro style blues – honouring the styles of Muddy Waters, BB King, Freddie King, Albert King, Elmore James and the “new age”, of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Paul Butterfield, Buddy Guy, and to the modern age of Colin James, Christone “Kingfish”, Ingram, Derek Trucks, Gary Clark Jr and many others.
A dynamic 4 piece, comprised of BCCMA Winner Drummer Darrin “Dirt”, Cherewayko, 2025 Grand Ole Opry Josie award Bassist-of-the-year Charlie Frie, 16 year old multi-instrumentalist prodigy Jake Soberlak and 3x Best In Kamloops Musician and songwriter Jeremy Kneeshaw provides a one of a kind performance of dance-focused grooves, heart-felt expression, emotion-driven vocals and world-class solo work.
Velvet Groove promises a genuine, authentic Blues experience from the first note to the last.
